How does web based MT services operate?
Professional Transcripts offers an easy solution for your medical transcription through web
based digital transcription. Your healthcare provider simply dictates into a digital hand-held
recording unit and then uploads the voice files via your PC, directly to our web site. We will
then download, transcribe and return the completed medical record back to the web site. The medical
record is held at our secure web site until your office is able to retrieve it.
Is it secure?
We take pride in the security of transferring sensitive medical files through the Internet.
We use user ID and password protection as well as encryption to ensure that the medical
record remains safe and secure.
What equipment is used?
At this time we are using the .dss file format which is more compact
than .wav files. Any digital hand-held recorder that uses .dss format can be used to upload
